It's all about the eyes

When I saw this photo I knew I had to buy it. It was at the bottom of a large suitcase and when I picked it up I saw her eyes first. What a lovely looking girl. I read the back but didn't understand what it said, I thought it might be a date, but later my brother saw it and told me it said 6 years old in German. Her name is Brigitte and it was taken in 1945.

It's such a shame when photos lose there owners. I'm sure if she is still alive she would love to have this photo back.

My First Found Photo

I have decided to collect old photos and to give them a home. I've always loved photography and old photos, I love looking at them, even if I don't know who they are.

I went to the market today and didn't find any but I decided to walk home and came across an old bric-a-brac store. You know the place, where the owners tend to collect anything and everything, the kind of place that I love to explore. Anyway, I was looking around and saw this cabinet card for $3, my first one. Then I turned around and saw an old suitcase filled with photos and postcards, this was a great find, I bought most of the photos (these will be in later posts) and will return from time to time to see what else I can find.
